Meet Chiara - Founder & Host

I’m Chiara the founder and Host of Root & Rise Retreat. In my early twenties I began to notice how hard it was to find like-minded female friendships — women who share values of mindfulness, self-care, and an appetite for growth, both personally and professionally. I kept meeting women who were devoted to wellness or career-driven, but rarely both. I wanted a space where those threads could weave together: where the practices that nurture our bodies and minds meet the ambition and curiosity that drive our careers and creative lives.

That desire is what inspired Root & Rise. We’re building a retreat that’s equal parts sanctuary and catalyst — a place to step away from the noise of daily life, to reconnect with ourselves, and to meet other women who are rooted in self-awareness and rising in their work and purpose. Here we honor slowing down without sacrificing momentum. We open space to rest, reflect, and receive support, and we blend that with intentional learning, skill-sharing, and conversations that expand our horizons.

I believe women are naturally nurturing, and we flourish when we have a safe haven to be real — to be vulnerable and ambitious at the same time. At Root & Rise we cultivate that haven: practices for wellbeing (movement, breath, restorative time), intentional dialogue for personal and professional growth, and opportunities to support and uplift one another. Our aim is simple but profound: to create a community where we can just be — be cared for, be honest, be driven — and in doing so, help each other thrive.

Meet Aaliyah - Pilates Instructor

Aaliyah brings passion and mindfulness to every Pilates session, offering alignment-focused instruction on the mat that emphasizes breath, precision, and intentional movement. Her classes are designed to strengthen the core, improve posture, enhance mobility, and cultivate body awareness.

Teaching Approach

  • Assessment-led: Gentle mobility and postural assessments to tailor exercises to each participant.

  • Precision & Breath: Coordinated breathing paired with controlled movement for optimal alignment.

  • Progressions & Regressions: Clear modifications for all levels, ensuring everyone can practice safely and effectively.

Class Morning Mat Flow (50 min) A grounding mat-based sequence designed to lengthen the spine, activate the core, and prime the body for a balanced day. Expect a seamless blend of strengthening and restorative exercises that leave you centered, mobile, and energized.
